You’ve Been Elfed is a fun way to surprise your neighbors and co-workers! Download and print the free printable I’ve created and have a blast elfing all your favorite people.
Connor and I had so much fun booing our neighbors right before Halloween that I thought it would be fun to start a new tradition on our street. This year we are elfing the neighbors. How cute is that? I first saw the idea on Pinterest and fell in love with it right away.
I need to record Connor elfing our neighbors because it is hilarious to watch. He loves leaving the gifts by the door, ringing the doorbell, and then running away as fast as he can. He just laughs and laughs as he’s running and then I laugh at him running. It’s so much fun!
And since we are elfing the neighbors, we had to make little elves as gifts – because that’s what we do around here.
- Snack size cookie boxes
- green paper (I used wrapping paper)
- red cardstock
- black cardstock
- silver glitter cardstock
- black buttons
- “You’ve Been Elfed” free printable
- jingle bells
- double sided tape
- Wrap treat boxes in green paper.
- Add red border to top of box.
- Cut out a square from silver cardstock and cut two small slits in it. Thread black cardstock through slits and wrap around around box.
- Glue black buttons down box.
- Add instructions using ribbon and jingle bells.
- Deliver to your neighbors.
The best part about elfing your neighbors is when they talk about the cute gift they got and they have no idea who did it!
I found these snack size cookie packs at Walmart last week and knew they would be perfect for elfing our neighbors. I found them right upfront by checkout and immediately started throwing a few (ok maybe a lot) in my cart.
They are the perfect size for gift giving. They would be great teacher gifts, stocking stuffers, and so much more. I made sure to picked up a few to include in hubby’s care package. The prise was so right that I just couldn’t resist.
