Using this FREE St. Patrick’s Day Cut File
Once the file is saved to your computer, it’s time to upload it to Cricut’s Design Space. If you have a Silhouette, you will upload it to Silhouette Studio. Now it’s time to size the image and separate into the colors you want to cut. I’ve show the design two different ways. One uses different colors and will require layering the vinyl. Another is all white and only requires one layer of vinyl.
Next, add your vinyl to your cutting mat and let your machine work it’s magic. This part never gets old – does it? I just love my Cricut so much!
Tips for using Iron-on Vinyl
If you’re using HTV for this project, here are a few tips:
- Iron the fabric first. It’s much easier to apply vinyl to smooth fabric.
- I highly recommend a cold peel when working with HTV.
- Make sure you mirror you image before cutting.
