Football season is here and we’re sharing easy tips for hosting the perfect game day party! These winning Tips will keep your guests happy from kickoff until the final touchdown.

Are you excited about football season?  Football season is a big deal in our house and we are excited for a great season! We pretty much have a house full of people every Sunday so I’ve rounded up a list of stress-free party tips that are perfect for any football party your hosting. These are really great for any party your hosting but since we love game day parties, I figured it’s the perfect time to share these fabulous tips.

Keep the Menu Simple

Start by planning a simple menu.  I highly recommend buying chips and pairing them with store-bought dips or dips that you can make ahead of time.  I’m also a huge fan of finger foods that you can pop in the oven quickly like wings and chicken tenders. Sam’s Club makes menu-planning easy, as all of these items can be purchased at Sam’s Club.

Prepare Food Ahead of Time

My #1 tip is to prepare as much food ahead of time and use your slow cooker to do the work for you. There are so many great recipes out there that don’t require a lot of ingredients. Pick appetizers and recipes that are quick and easy to make. You don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen while everyone is watching the game.

Make it a Potluck

Have your guests bring food and drinks. It’s okay to have people bring something and it’s okay to ask people to bring food with them, even if it’s just a bag of chips.  Everyone brings something and everyone has to take leftovers home with them.  That’s the rule in our house.

Set Up Stations

Set up stations in different areas of your dining room. I like to set up a drink station, a station for plates and utensils, and a food station. This also keeps people out of the kitchen. If you don’t have a dining room, set these stations up away from the oven to keep people out of your way.

Drinks, Drinks, and More Drinks

I’ve learned that you can never have too many drinks during a party.  And, if you do – just save them for the next game day party. We always have our pantry stocked with Coca-Cola® mini cans, Sprite®, and Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar.  They are great by themselves and perfect for making game day cocktails.

Stock Up

It’s important to stock up on the essentials now so you have them for all your game day parties.  That’s where Sam’s Club is always your best friend.  Stock up on plates, cups, snacks and all your favorite Coca-Cola® products so you don’t have to keep buying them every week.  We all know Sam’s Club has everything you need and you’ll be stocked and ready for whenever your guests come over.

And, Sam’s Club makes shopping so easy thanks to their Club Pickup.  I can just place my order online, select store pick-up, and Sam’s Club does all the shopping for me. This is a great option when purchasing heavier items, like Coca-Cola® beverages and it’s also great when you have a wild toddler that likes to run away from you.  Full disclosure – it also helps me stick to my shopping list which is always good for the budget 🙂

I’m also excited to try their new Scan & Go App that allows shoppers to scan items as you shop, pay from your phone (via the app) and skip the checkout line.  Doesn’t that sound amazing?!

Crafts and Games

And, I can’t throw a party without having some kind of craft project.  I love adding blank koozies and letter stickers to the drink station for people to decorate their own koozies.  This is a fun craft for both kids and adults.  I also have a fun football bingo game that you can download HERE.

Now that you’re ready to throw a fabulous game day party, it’s time to invite all your favorite people over for the next big game!  Cheers to the start of football season.
