Want to save money while shopping at your favorite stores for your favorite products? Of course you do!!
Today’s Take Five is all about apps that save you money. And, guess what? Three of the five apps actually earn you cash back on your purchases. So, you’re saving money and receiving money back. That’s what I call a WIN!
Cartwheel by Target lets you scan items while shopping at Target and add coupons to the app. Then, when you checkout, you just scan the barcode and you save money while shopping. You pretty much always get a discount on their Market Pantry items. I especially like their app because if you scan an item and there is do deal available, they will recommend similar brands so you can still save.
This app has saved me so much money! I use it when shopping at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, Carters – pretty much every store I shop at on a regular basis. I’ve even used it at restaurants. I make sure to check this app before I buy anything or go anywhere. You’ll be surprised to see all the great deals they offer.
The Walmart app is great because you can see weekly deals and other great things they offer but the best part of the app is their Savings Catcher. The Savings Catcher let’s you scan your receipt and then they compare what you bought with competitor stores. If another store is selling it for less, they will give you the difference back on a Walmart eGift card. I’ve earned at least $1 on every receipt I’ve scanned and that adds up quickly. The most I’ve earned is $4.26.
Ibotta lets you earn rebates on items you buy while shopping at your favorite stores. I love that I earn money back on items that I would be buying anyways. It’s easy to use but can be a little time consuming. You can plan your grocery shopping around rebates or just use it to earn money back after you shop. I like to check out the different rebates before I go shopping to see if there are any items I need. They also have rebates on retail stores.
I used Shopkick along time ago and recently started using it again. It’s simple – you earn kicks for just walking into your favorite store. You can earn more kicks for scanning items around the store and when you scan your receipt. It’s easy to use and once you get enough kicks, you can redeem them for store gift cards.
Are you using any of these apps to save money? I really like that these apps make it easy to save money and earn rewards for shopping. Gotta love being able to save money while shopping:)
Now, I’m off to Target to see what deals I can find.
