I have to tell you all that I have the best neighbors ever!  We live on an awesome street where our neighbors have become our family.  I think it’s because most of us are military and don’t have family close by.  We can rely on each other for everything and I’m so thankful for their support and friendship.

Connor and I spent some time in the kitchen yesterday baking cookies so we could make little gifts for our neighbors just to thank them for being so awesome!

While our cookies were baking, Connor and I made Snowman Treat Cups to put the cookies in.

Aren’t they cute?  And they are so easy to make.

Snowman Treat Cups

 Supplies needed:

  • styrofoam cups,
  • black and orange marker
  • black pipe cleaners
  • red pom poms
  • glue gun and glue sticks
  • tissue paper

Easy Directions:

  1. Draw the snowman’s eyes, nose, and mouth on the cup.
  2. Poke a hole on each side of the cup.
  3. Twist 3 pipe cleaners together for the handle.  Thread through each hole and secure in place.
  4. Glue pom poms to cup.
  5. Fill with yummy treats.

That’s it!  The best part about this project is that the kiddos can definitely be in charge of making the Snowman Treat Cups all by themselves.  Connor even sat down and made reindeer cups to go with the snowman cups.

Betty Crocker Cookies

Want to spread holiday cheer in your neighborhood this year?  Start by stocking up on Betty Crocker’s cookie mix.  We picked up our mixes at Farm Fresh.  I like to keep a few in our pantry at all time because you just never know when you’re in the mood to make cookies.  We made these yummy cookies using Betty Crocker’s Sugar Cookie Mix and mini holiday M&M’s.  Next we will be making the classic Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies.

Now it’s time for you to surprise your favorite neighbors with fresh-baked goodies.  Save $0.50 when you buy ONE (1) Betty Crocker Cookie Mix.  Print coupon here.
