Every teacher I know buys a new planner every school year and we all LOVE starting the year with new pens. We’re going to make Planner Bookmarks using felt, iron-on vinyl, and elastic.

These Planner Bookmarks are the perfect way for teachers to keep track of what week it is while making sure they don’t miss anything important especially during the first few weeks of school.

Supplies needed to make Planner Bookmarks:

Felt
Scissors
Fabric Stiffener
Iron-on Vinyl
SVG Cut Files
Vinyl Cutter (I used my Cricut Explore Air 2)
Elastic
Fabric Glue

Directions to make Planner Bookmarks:

Step 1: Cut out your vinyl image using your handy dandy vinyl cutter. I used this awesome Teachers are Magical Unicorn SVG Cut File created by the super talented Alexis over at Persia Lou. I also created a fun Queen of My Classroom SVG Cut File that you can download HERE. Unicorns and Queens – two of the best words to describe a teacher:)

Step 2: Cut the felt into whatever shape you want. Then, iron the image onto the felt.

Step 3: Spray the back of the felt with fabric stiffener and let dry.

Step 4: Cut elastic so that it wraps around something the size of a planner/notebook. Glue ends together. Then, glue the felt to the elastic. Let dry over night before using.
