Personalized Luggage Tags

I mentioned last week that we were headed to California for a wedding so of course we needed personalized luggage tags for our suitcases.

I realized this the night before we were leaving but I wasn’t worried because I had my handy dandy Sizzix Big Shot machine.  I actually just got this bad boy and was super excited to use it for the first time.

I’m so happy that I can cut out letters easily with the Sizzix machine.  Watch out because I can now personalize everything and I have so many fun ideas for this awesome machine.

So let’s get started on making some cute luggage tags.  All you need are a few supplies:

• Sizzix Big Shot Machine
• Sizzix Bigz XL Die – Lemonade Capital Alphabet
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Badges
• scrapbook paper
• double-sided tape
• self-seal laminating sheets
• hole punch
• keychains
• needle nose pliers

Directions:

Step 1:  Use your Sizzix Big Shot to cut out your letters and badges.

Step 2:  Cut out your luggage tags.  Use your double-sided tape to adhere your letters and badges to tags.

Step 3:  Laminate each badge.  Then punch a hole in the top of each luggage tag.

Step 4:  Add keychain using needle nose pliers.

Step 5:  Add name and address to back of tag.  I used my label maker for this but you can just use a sharpie to write on the tag.

Now add your luggage tag to your suitcase and your ready for your trip.

I used keychains so I could loop it through both zippers to keep our suitcases from unzipping.  You can also use ribbon if you want to just wrap it around the handle.

I have to tell you that it took me longer to figure out what paper I wanted to use than it actually took me to make my three luggage tags.  That’s always the hardest part for me.
