Jar of Sunshine Teacher Appreciation Gift

First of all, thank you to all the wonderful teachers who are working tirelessly to inspire our children to do their best each and every day!!  I’m extremely grateful for your hard work and dedication.  I know how hard you work and I hope you know you’re doing a great job.

Now, it’s time to thank all those fabulous teacher with a fun Jar of Sunshine.  All you have to do is gather a few yellow items and place them in a tumbler.  I found these awesome mason jar tumblers at Walmart.  They’re perfect for this gift and come in a pack of four.  This made it easy to make gifts for all of Connor’s teachers.  You can’t forget about your child’s P.E. teacher, art teacher, and music teacher.

An easy gift to brighten your teacher’s day! And, as a former teacher, I can honestly say that every teacher will love this simple gift.

How to make a Jar of Sunshine

First grab a tumbler. Here are a few I found online that would be perfect for this gift:

Next, pick up all kinds of fun yellow items. The key to making a Jar of Sunshine is to find small items that will fit in a jar or tumbler. I like to look in the candy aisle, beauty section, and dollar spot at Target and I always find fun yellow items at the dollar store. Here’s a list of fun yellow items to look for when making a Jar of Sunshine:

  • Candy in yellow packaging
  • Chapstick
  • Hand cream
  • Facemasks
  • Sticky notes
  • Drink mixes

Then just fill each tumbler with yellow items.  I bought most of these items at 5 and Below so it wasn’t expensive.  I included candy, lip balm, sticky notes, hand sanitizer, and lotion – lots of items your teacher will love.  You can even tuck a gift card inside each tumbler.
