Planning to go geocaching this summer? Don’t forget your geocaching swag and stash box!
I’m back today with another fun scout craft that takes less than 15 minutes to make.
Connor and his cub scout pack are meeting this weekend at a local park to go on their first geocaching adventure.
Have any of you gone geocaching before? I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile now so I can’t wait. Again, I might be a little more excited than Connor:)
After reading all about geocaching, I found out that some caches turn the adventure into a true treasure hunt. When you find it, you can take a piece of swag and you leave something behind. Connor and I headed to our local craft store and bought everything to make these cute magnets. This is an awesome scout craft because it’s easy and you can make a ton of them at one time.
You only need 3 things – bottle caps, round stickers, small magnets. You can even leave the magnets off and just make cute bottle cap swag.
We also picked up a cheap plastic box so we could make a Geo Stash Box to place any swag we get from a cache we find. This is another easy project. All you need are letter stickers or you can use the Sizzix Big Shot Machine and Sizzix Bigz XL Die – Lemonade Capital Alphabet to cut out letters and glue them on.
Every scout needs a Geo Stash Box for their geocaching adventures! And don’t forget to take lots of swag with you so you can collect new treasure you find.
And don’t forget to check out all the other Scout Crafts that are being shared this week. They are all crafts that can be made in 15 minutes or less. Can’t beat a quick and easy craft project.
Happy crafting my friends!
