Rum Fudge {A Delicious Holiday Treat}

I’ve turned the classic Rum Balls into an easy and delicious fudge recipe that’s perfect for the holidays.  Why make rum balls when you can make rum fudge?  Same great taste and so much easier to make!



Fudge Layer:

  • 1 (12-oz.) package vanilla wafers, finely crushed
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons corn syrup

Chocolate Topping:

  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons corn syrup
  • sprinkles


  1. Stir together cookie crumbs, powdered sugar and cocoa in large bowl.
  2. Whisk together bourbon and corn syrup in small bowl.
  3. Slowly add bourbon mixture to dry ingredients and mix together until well blended.
  4. Press dough into 8×8 baking dish and refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Meanwhile, melt chocolate with butter and corn syrup over low heat in a double boiler.
  6. Pour chocolate over chilled bars and spread evenly.  Sprinkle with sprinkled and press into chocolate.
  7. Chill until chocolate is set.
  8. Cut into bars before serving.
