DIY Countdown to Santa Sign

Let the countdown to Christmas begin with this easy countdown to Santa sign. With a few simple craft supplies and the free cut file, you can make this Fun chalkboard in less than 15 minutes!

Now that December has arrived, we can officially start the Christmas countdown. My four year old wakes up every morning asking if it’s Christmas so I thought this fun sign would be perfect for him. Plus, it’s super easy to make especially with the free cut file I’ve included.

Supplies needed to make your own DIY countdown sign

• Decorative Chalkboard (or paint a piece of wood with chalkboard paint)
• Vinyl Cutter (Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker)
• Cutting Mat
• Red Vinyl
• White Vinyl
• Transfer Tape
• Scissors
• Weeding Tool
• Chalk Marker
• Santa Stops Here Cut File

First, download the free cut file and upload it into your vinyl cutter design software. I sliced the file into two parts so I could have the Santa in red and the rest in white but I think it would look great all in red or all in white.

Then, let your handy dandy cutting machine works it magic.

Transfer the image onto the chalkboard and remove the transfer tape.

That’s it! How easy was that? Now your fun Santa sign is ready for the countdown. I was already in love with the chalkboard sign before I added the vinyl and turning it into a holiday sign is the perfect addition to our Christmas decor.
