I have a confession – I’m totally obsessed with flamingos right now.  Anything that I see with a flamingo on it immediately goes in my shopping cart so as soon as I saw this fabulous flamingo fabric, I knew I had to make something with it. I decided that my front porch needed a pop of pink and some flamingos so I covered a boring flower pot with this fabulous flamingo fabric. And, I’ve come to the conclusion that everyone needs a pink flamingo flower pot!

Fabric covered flower pot step 1

Spread fabric out with the design side down. Place flower pot in center of fabric towards the top.

Hold your pencil on rim of flower pot. Roll the flower pot to the left while tracing a line. Place flower pot in the center and roll to the right while tracing a line. Repeat with bottom of flower pot. Cut the fabric an inch above and below the pencil line. Your fabric should be in the shape of an upside down U.

Apply a layer of Mod Podge to flower pot. Wrap fabric around flower pot while pressing firmly to make sure the fabric is smooth. Apply another layer of Mod Podge over fabric.

Fold Fabric over the top and bottom of the flower pot and apply more Mod Podge to keep fabric in place. The fabric will fold over a little. Let dry completely.

How cute is this flamingo flower pot?!

Like I said earlier – everyone needs a flamingo flower pot.  I even think it’s cute to use as a utensil caddy.  Instead of adding flowers, fill it with spoons, forks and knives the next time you’re having a party.

This is a great way to add a pop of color to your patio and the possibilities are endless.  Use different fabrics for different seasons.  I just ordered pineapple fabric because I definitely need a pineapple flower pot too.  Now I just need to find unicorn fabric.
