Ingredients for Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole

Here is what you’ll need to make this Chicken Bacon Ranch recipe:

  • Shredded Chicken
  • Bacon – Cooked until crispy.
  • Garlic
  • Ranch Dressing
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper

Casserole Variations

Chicken – I cooked three chicken breasts and shredded them but a cooked rotisserie chicken would work too.  If you’re in a hurry just grab a rotisserie chicken to make the prep work even easier.

Vegetables – I like to make this recipe with frozen broccoli and cauliflower but you can just use all broccoli or all cauliflower. You could also use a vegetable medley.  I think that would taste amazing. I highly recommend buying the bags of steamable veggies for this recipe.  It just makes it so much easier but fresh veggies work too.

Cheese – I always use sharp cheddar cheese with this recipe but feel free to use your favorite cheese because we all know that cheese makes everything better!

Ranch Dressing – Use your favorite ranch dressing. I’ve made this recipe with different brands and it always tastes amazing!

How to Make this delicious Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole

I’ve been making this recipe weekly now that school has started and I’m certain that you will too after you make it for the first time.  The hardest part is making the chicken and bacon ahead of time and that isn’t difficult at all.

Here are the simple steps for making this easy chicken casserole:

First, steam your vegetables for 4 minutes in the microwave and drain.  If using fresh veggies, place in a pot of water and bring to a boil.  Cook until tender.  Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, reserving half the shredded cheese.  Add mixture to baking dish and top with extra cheese.  Then just pop in the oven for about 15 minutes to warm everything up and melt cheese. That’s it!  I told you it was easy:)

And, guess what?  This can definitely be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator or placed in the freezer.  Woohoo!  One more reason to love this recipe.

I used the steamable bags for the veggies, had 5 chicken breast, put in the whole pack of bacon & used 1 cup of ranch to cover the extra amount. I always make enough for my husband to eat for lunch the next day. This was teenage girls and husband approved!
