What do you get when you combine spinach, cheese and bacon in the slow cooker? A delicious Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip that’s the perfect party dip!
Are you looking for an easy dip that you can make in the slow cooker? Then this is the recipe for you. I’m always on the look out for new appetizers that I can dump in the slow cooker a few hours before my guests arrive and just walk away. Plus, how can you not love a 5 ingredient dip that’s loaded with cheese and full of flavor!
Ingredients needed for Cheesy Spinach And Bacon Dip
This dip only calls for 5 ingredients – Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, spinach, bacon, and RO*TEL Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies. I make it with turkey bacon and if you want to cut back on more calories, you could easily swap out the cream cheese for plain Greek yogurt.
How to make Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip
This Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip is fabulous because you can just dump everything in the slow cooker and walk away. The hardest part is cooking the bacon and I make it in the microwave in 5 minutes so it takes about 6 minutes to make this dip.
5 ingredients and two steps if you count cooking the bacon as a step! Woohoo – my favorite recipes are the easiest ones.
This dip can also be made in a sauce pan on the stove and I think you could even prepare it in the microwave if you really need to make it quickly. I would just add the bacon after you remove it from the microwave.
Serve with chips, carrots, celery or toasted pitas. I feel like if I eat it with carrots and celery, it’s still somewhat healthy. I’m also totally hooked on sweet potato tortilla chips.
