Don’t you just love an easy dip recipe?! I especially love dips that I can make ahead of time in my slow cooker so I don’t have to be stuck in the kitchen. This Cheesy Sausage and Corn Slow Cooker Dip is the perfect recipe especially on game day.
You can’t go wrong with a delicious recipe that can be dumped in the slow cooker. All you need for this recipe is cooked Italian sausage with cream cheese, corn, RO*TEL and a little more shredded cheese. That’s it. Add a loaf of fresh bread from Walmart’s bakery and everyone will be licking the bowl. That’s how good this dip is.
5 ingredients + your slow cooker + fresh bread = YUM!

I really don’t think you can see in the pictures just how awesome this dip is. I think I could eat the entire bowl all by myself. If your hosting a game day party, you have to make this dip.
My hubby never misses his favorite team play on game day and he always invites our friends and neighbors to watch with him. This means that I need to be prepared to feed a crowd on Sundays and this is my go-to dip.
My tip for hosting any party especially on game day is to have recipes that can be made ahead of time. You don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen while everyone else is having fun watching the game. I always prefer to make appetizers in the slow cooker because it makes cooking so much easier. Plus, I’ve never had a bad recipe that was prepared in the slow cooker. There’s just something about a slow cooker that makes everything taste better.

Another tip I have for keeping the kitchen more organized on game day is set up a small table in the corner for all the game day treats. Whenever anyone comes over with a snack, it immediately goes on the table. This keeps things organized and off my countertops. And of course I had to decorate it for football season because it needs to be fun:)
I also whipped up a few football mason jars to hold utensils. These were so easy to make. All I did was wrap 3 mason jars with brown felt and then I used my handy dandy glue gun to add white ribbon for the laces. A simple craft for game day that can be used for so many things.
My final tip is to stock up now on these ingredients. The canned goods can be stored in my pantry and I can freeze the Italian sausage and corn so when I need a quick appetizer, I’m always ready. It makes feeding a large crowd less stressful.
What’s your tip for hosting a large crowd on game day? Do you have a favorite recipe that’s always a huge hit?
