We just moved into our new house a few weeks ago and I’m having so much fun decorating.  It’s way more fun to unpack than it is to pack.  Our new house has a pretty big dining room and my dining room table was looking a little lonely.  I decided the table needed a nice new centerpiece and since it’s fall, I wanted something rustic with a touch of elegance.  I decided you just can’t go wrong with candles.  Then I found this awesome bark ribbon and knew it was exactly what these candles needed.

And, I’m loving that I used flameless candles for this centerpiece especially with a wild toddler running around the house.  I don’t have to worry about him climbing up on the table and burning himself and I love the soft light they give off.  Plus, I won’t have to worry about wax dripping everywhere or having to replace the candles in the future.  All I have to do is replace the batteries.

Want to make your own fall centerpiece with bark wrapped candles?

You’ll need:

  • flameless candles
  • RAYOVAC® HIGH ENERGY™ batteries
  • bark ribbon
  • jute
  • plate or cake stand
  • acorns

First, cut strips of the bark ribbon to fit around each candle.

Use jute to attach bark ribbon around each candle.

Add batteries to candles. I want these candles to be lit for long periods of time so I made sure to use RAYOVAC®, the one thing that’s a sure thing.  These batteries can handle all of your family’s powering needs AND last just as long as the leading competitors, but at a lower price point!  What’s not to love about that?!

Place candles on cake stand and scatter acorns around candles.

Now, step back and admire your fabulous rustic fall centerpiece.  I usually like stuff with a bit more color but I’m loving how this turned out.  This is also great if you’re going for the farmhouse look which is definitely in style right now.

Rustic Fall Centerpiece with Bark Wrapped Candles

This is my new favorite centerpiece.  It might actually be the first fall centerpiece that I’ve ever put together and I’m in love with it.  It’s exactly what the room needed.  I’ll have to figure out how to use these bark wrapped candles in a Christmas centerpiece.  I’m thinking I’ll swap out the acorns for dried cranberries.

While I was shopping for my centerpiece supplies at Walmart, I made sure to stock up on extra batteries.  I decided it was the perfect time to change the batteries in our remotes.  A new house calls for new batteries so I picked up a few packs of RAYOVAC® HIGH ENERGY™.  We go through a lot of batteries in our house.  Thankfully I can count on the long lasting power of RAYOVAC®.  Not only have they’ve been powering America Since 1906 but they are guaranteed to hold power for 10 years (5 for 9V) while in storage and guaranteed to provide long lasting power in high use devices.  They even have a money back guarantee.

And, I’ve been wanting to get rechargeable batteries for my camera flash so I used this SmartSource coupon and this awesome Ibotta rebate to save money on my purchase of RAYOVAC® Recharge.  Woohoo!!  I got to save money on batteries that I needed and that already cost less than other brands.  Now that’s what I call a win.
