Celebrate Labor Day and enjoy the unofficial last weekend of summer with BBQ Raspberry Glazed Ribs!
I’m still in denial that summer is coming to an end. It’s always such a bitter sweet feeling. I love the summer for so many reasons but I love fall weather. I love the colors of the leaves as they start to change and I LOVE being able to open the windows. I enjoy the lazy days of summer but I’m not going to miss the heat and humidity. I can’t wait to live in hooded sweatshirts and jeans.
For now, I’m going to enjoy Labor Day weekend and celebrate the unofficial last weekend of summer with lots of delicious food cooked on the grill. We pretty much grill out every night of the week when it’s nice outside and hubby has already announced that he wants to make ribs this weekend.
He’s been perfecting his grilled ribs all summer long and our favorite are the Smithfield® Extra Tender Fresh Pork St. Louis Style Spareribs. These ribs combined with his simple dry rub and brushed with homemade Raspberry Barbecue Sauce are the perfect combination of sweet and tangy.
And, we need to talk about this raspberry barbecue sauce. Not only is easy to mix together but it tastes delicious! I might have to use it on everything we cook on the grill. I’m such a sucker for sweet and tangy sauces.
I must admit – I was always a little intimidated by the thought of making ribs at home. I would always order them when we went out to dinner because we never grilled them ourselves. But, Hubby has really stepped up his grilling game because his ribs taste better than anything I’ve ordered at a restaurant. I’m sure it has to do with the fact that we always buy Smithfield ribs because they contain no artificial ingredients and are enhanced to be as juice and tender as possible.
These ribs are perfect for your Labor Day gathering!
So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to fire up the grill, mix up some Raspberry Barbecue Sauce, and have some fun this weekend eating ribs and celebrating the long weekend.
