I love this time of year!  The weather is perfect.  We have the windows open and I have a caramel pumpkin candle burning.  I also decorated my house with these beautiful pumpkin flower arrangements so I’m super happy.

Pumpkin Flower Arrangements

I love decorating my house with fresh flowers.  It makes me so happy to walk in and see bright flowers on my dining room table.  I usually pick them up at Trader Joe’s because they are so cheap.  Over the weekend I stopped there to pick up groceries and they’re pumpkins were only $1.99 so I thought it would be fun to use it as the vase for my pretty flowers.

How fabulous do the flowers look in the pumpkin?  And it’s so easy.

Step 1. Just cut the top off of the pumpkin and scoop out everything inside.

Step 2. Then place a plastic cup or glass inside.  Add water and flowers and you’re good to go.

I’m not sure how long the pumpkin will last but I’m sure it will last as long as the flowers do.

I also made smaller flower arrangements with small plastic pumpkins I picked up at my local craft store.  This required me to cut the tops out and remove some of the styrofoam that was inside.  Then, I placed a small shot glass inside the plastic pumpkins to make adorable pumpkin bud vases.  I love that one pumpkin is glittery and the other has a gold tint to it.  These won’t go bad so I can keep adding flowers to them and reuse them over and over again.

Now all I need is a Pumpkin Spice Latte and it would be the perfect day!

  1. Such radiant colors! The little plastic pumpkins are so cute! I’ve always wanted to use a real pumpkin as a vase but I’m always afraid they’ll rot quickly. /:
