I’ve mentioned before that Connor loves emojis so I thought it would be fun to make emoji snack cups for his lunchbox. I originally was going to make emojis out of vinyl but then I discovered dishwasher safe Mod Podge and I was excited to test it out.

Emoji Snack Cups

These snack cups were so fun to make and it’s a great kid craft. Connor picked out the emojis he wanted and helped paint the Mod Podge on the lids. I think the hardest part was picking out which emojis he wanted since I only bought three snack cups. I guess I better pick up more.

Materials needed:

  • plastic cups with lids – I found these small cups at my local dollar store.
  • cardstock
  • printer
  • scissors
  • dishwasher safe Mod Podge
  • foam paint brush

Directions:

  1. Print out emojis on cardstock. I just did a google search and we printed ones out that we liked. I imported them to a word document and sized them to fit the lids I have. I wasn’t sure what the copyright is on the emoji images that I used so I’m not offering a free printable. Feel free to email me if you want the document that I printed.
  2. Cut out the emojis and adhere to the container lid using Mod Podge. Apply 3 layers of Mod Podge over the image and lid. The directions say to cure for 28 days. I plan on hand washing the lids until I can put them in the dishwasher.

Only 2 steps and you have these adorable Emoji Snack Cups. Now I can totally understand why Connor loves emojis. They always put a smile on my face whenever I see them. I also must admit that these Emoji Snack Cups turned out even cuter than I thought they would. I’ll keep you posted on how they hold up once I wash them in the dishwasher.

And you can’t pack a lunch or make cute snack cups without adding tasty snacks! Connor loves Horizonâ„¢ Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers. They are on our grocery list every week for his lunch and they fit perfectly in these snack cups. I love that they use real, organic ingredient and Connor loves the delicious taste. Well, I have to admit that I snack on these too. Not only are they great for lunchboxes, but they’re the perfect on the go snack while we are out and about running errands.

We also always stock up on Horizon Single Serve Milk Boxes. I throw these in Connor’s lunchbox and he loves them too. You just can’t wrong with these milk boxes. They have 8 grams of protein per milk box and it’s an excellent source of calcium. Plus, they taste great – a win-win for us!

I also have a fun upcycle for you. Did you know that baby food containers make the perfect snack cup? They’re the perfect size and they come with lids. Don’t worry if you don’t have a baby in the house. You can add baby food to baked goods and reuse the containers for lunchbox snacks.

Emoji Snack Cups

I had tons of emoji stickers left over and added them to the snack cups. Add a few layers of Mod Podge and you have snack cups that can be handwashed and used over and over again.
