I’m so excited about today’s gift idea and I think it’s my favorite one yet!

Connor loves spending time with his cousins but since we live in Virginia and all our family lives in Maryland, we don’t get to see them as often as we like.  We often miss birthday parties, soccer games, and family dinners so I thought it would be fun for Connor and his cousins to keep in touch by writing letters to each other.

So I thought it would be fun to put together Pen Pal Kits to give to my niece and nephew this year for Christmas.  Not only is this an awesome way for them to keep in touch but it will also help with their writing skills – definitely a win-win in my book.

This is a simple tutorial.  Just fill a pencil case with the following items:

  • notecards
  • envelopes
  • stamps
  • pre-addressed labels
  • stickers
  • washi tape
  • pens
  • crayons
  • Pen Pal labels – Download HERE
  • fun Hallmark cards

You can pretty much fill it with anything you want that relates to writing letters.

Now they can send each other cute little notes all year long.  What kid doesn’t love receiving mail?!

And since this is a Christmas gift for my niece and nephew, I added a cute Hallmark Christmas card to each pen pal kit.  You could even fill your kit with 12 Hallmark cards for each month of the year.  I might need to pick up more cards this week.

Hallmark Holiday Cards

I could spend hours reading all the cards at Walmart!  I can always count on Hallmark to say exactly what I want to say to all my loved ones.

Baby's First Christmas Ornament #SendHallmark

While I was shopping at Walmart for my Hallmark Christmas cards and everything I needed for the pen pal kits, I had to grab Easton’s First Christmas Ornament.  Isn’t it adorable?!  I’ve been looking everywhere for a baby’s first Christmas ornament and I didn’t like any of them.  Leave it to Walmart and Hallmark to have exactly what I was looking for.
