Are you looking for a fun gift idea for all those people who have everything?

Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Gift Basket

Then I’ve got the perfect gift idea for you!  Put together a Movie Night Gift Basket.  I feel like you just can’t go wrong with candy, popcorn, and the latest big blockbuster.

And guess what?  Guardians of the Galaxy is being released tomorrow, December 9, and would make a fabulous addition to this Movie Night Gift Basket.  I’ve already asked hubby to pick up two copies – one for use and one for my brother’s family.  Guardians of the Galaxy will feature exclusive Character O-sleeve and exclusive music zinepack and a 64-page magazine with cast and crew interviews, exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and trivia PLUS a custom “cassette” laptop decal.

Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Night

This gift basket is so easy to put together especially since you can use the popcorn container as the basket.

I purchased everything at my local Walmart including the awesome Guardian of the Galaxy cups and napkins.  How fun is that?  I would totally use the cups for individual popcorn cups.

I also ordered Guardian of the Galaxy Two-Way Radios for my nephew using Walmart’s Site to Store feature and highly recommend shopping this way.  So easy!  As soon as I saw them on their website I knew that my niece and nephew would have a blast playing with them.

Glitter Gak Ornaments

And I couldn’t just stop there.  I made Glitter Gak for my niece and nephew.  Now they can play with the Glitter Gak while they watch the movie.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 8 ounces glue
  • glitter
  • food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon Borax
  • 1/2 cup warm water

Directions:

  • Add glue to bowl.  Mix in food coloring and glitter.
  • In separate bowl, mix Borax and water.
  • Mix water with glue.
  • Use your hands to mix everything together (I had water left over in the bowl that I just dumped out).  Continue to mix until your gak has formed.

Connor had a blast helping me make the gak.  Then we added it to plastic ornaments for a cute Christmas gift.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Walmart has a fabulous collection of Guardian of the Galaxy toys, music and other merchandise that will make great gifts for the holidays.  Purchase a Groot, Drax or Rocket Raccoon figure for Disney Infinity between now and December 13 and you’ll receive a $5 Walmart gift card.  I think I’m going to get Connor the LEGO set for Christmas.

Still so much to do but at least my brother’s gift is finished.

Have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy?
