Since we live about 4 hours away from our family, I thought it would be fun if Connor started sending fun mail to his cousins.

I found some cute ideas that I just had to share.

I love the idea of sending fun little unexpected gifts in the mail.

  1. I usually send gourmet cookie gift boxes! My family and friends seem to love them!

  2. Very clever ideas; I’m going to feel like a slacker the next time I put an ordinary gift bag in a plain box!

  3. My daughter is in college so for every holiday and exam week, I have sent her a care package that has stuff for the particular holiday, dollar store items, candy, etc. For Valentine’s Day, in her package I put a box of Thor Valentines that I found at the Dollar Tree. She loved it. She ran around her dorm putting them on her friends doors. They thought it was great. Love sending care packages!!

  4. What a great idea and collection of things to mail. I always loved getting packages and these ideas are wonderful!

  5. So many great ideas! We have family and friends living out of state and these would be fun to send!

  6. I was touring with a drama company one fall in the southwest as a teenager. I had a pen pal in New England who knew I was (1) in the desert, (2) missing the fall colors of my home in Georgia and (3) had never seen a New England autumn. At my next mail stop there was a huge box waiting for me from my pen pal. It was full of autumn leaves from New England. My own pile of leaves to play in out there in the desert. She had as much fun sending it as I did receiving it. That was over 30 years ago and I still remember it and smile with love and gratitude at the thoughtfulness.
