Mini Diaper Cake {Gift Card Holder}

I’m hosting a baby shower in a few weeks and I wanted a unique way to wrap a gift card.  I always just get a gift card for baby showers.  It stresses me out to try and get stuff off baby registries.  I swear every time I go shopping for a baby shower gift I either can’t find the items on the baby registry or I buy something and somebody else also gives the same gift.  So I just keep it easy with a gift card.

I searched on Pinterest for unique ways to wrap baby shower gift cards and I couldn’t find anything that I loved.  I did find a lot of diaper cakes so I thought it would be fun to make a mini diaper cake and put the gift card in the center of the diaper cake.

Mini Diaper Cake

Supplies needed:

  • 9 diapers (I bought a pack of 37 size 2 diapers so I have plenty left for other baby showers that I get invited to)
  • 9 small rubber bands
  • 1 large rubber band
  • Ribbon
  • 1 baby toy or stuffed animal  ( I found this car rattle at Target for $4.99)

Mini Diaper Cake

Step 1:  Roll each diaper and use a small rubber band to hold in place.

Step 2:  Put diapers together in a circle and use large rubber band to hold in place.

Step 3:  Wrap ribbon around the diapers.

Step 4:  Slide gift card in center of diapers.

Step 5:  Attach toy to top of diaper cake.  I used another piece of ribbon by pulling it the center two diapers and tying underneath the diaper cake.

That’s it!  It was so easy to make and way better than just giving a gift card in a card.

Cute Baby Socks

I was inspired to make these adorable fabric flower socks this weekend.  I saw them at one of my favorite little shops along the beach and immediately had to come home and make them.

All you do is make your favorite fabric flower and attach it to the toe of any baby sock.  The pictures don’t really do them any justice because they are super cute.  Maybe it’s because I’m obsessed with fabric flowers and would put them on everything!

I’m so excited to make these as gifts for all my friends who are having girls.

Have a great week!
