I can’t believe it’s Back-to-School season already? And, I can’t believe Connor’s going into the fourth grade. Why do they have to grow up so fast?
Connor’s school has stopped giving homework and they only require the students to read every night for at least 20 minutes. As a parent and Reading Specialist, I totally agree with this and love this idea. Connor comes home from school, grabs a snack and reads his book before doing anything else. After he reads, he can play with his friends but he knows that he has to read first.
So, we sat down together this week and made these fun and easy Emoji Bookmarks. Every reader needs a fun bookmark.
Supplies:
- Bookmark Template
- Emoji Images – just google, resize, and print
- Cardstock
- Double sided tape
- Scissors
Directions:
- Cut cardstock using bookmark template.
- Size emoji pictures to 3 inches and print.
- Cut out emojis and tape to corner bookmarks.

Guess what? I saved the best one for last. I couldn’t make emoji bookmarks without making a Unicorn Emoji Bookmark. I just couldn’t resist. Isn’t it the cutest thing ever?
This might be my favorite new craft project. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to sit back and read a good book. You can’t just put those bookmarks anywhere. You need to start using them right away:)
