Tropical Rum Punch

I’m popping in real quick to share a fun recipe that I quickly mixed together for our tropical storm party we’re having tonight.  Whenever a hurricane is headed our way we plan a hurricane party with all the neighbors.  Luckily the storm hasn’t been that bad for us.  It’s just been raining all day and I’m not complaining.  Sometimes it’s nice to stay in and be lazy on a rainy Saturday.

We invited the neighbors over to play Left Center Right and Pictionary.  Have you played LCR before?  We love it!  And, since this has been a tropical storm instead of hurricane, I decided we needed a tropical drink to sip on while we have fun playing games together.

This was one of those last minute drinks I whipped together based on what I had in the fridge.  Some of the best drink recipes are the ones you just pour and sip until it tastes good.  Not only does this recipe include pineapple and orange juice, but I ended up adding a cup of Naked’s Berry Blast to the punch.  This is the perfect ingredient for a great tasting Tropical Rum Punch.

All I can say is YUM!  I took these pictures quickly and the punch might not look that pretty but this Tropical Rum Punch is delicious!  I better make another pitcher because this punch isn’t going to last long.

There is also one other tip that I have to share.  The key to this recipe and any fun cocktail is to use frozen fruit as ice.  We don’t want watered down cocktails!  I will be using frozen pineapple chunks as ice for these drinks.  No watered down Tropical Rum Punch for us:)
