Guess who loves you? DIY Baby Board Book

Putting the boys to sleep has become one of my favorite times of the day.  I love snuggling up with Connor and talking about our day or talking about what we want to do together throughout the week.  I especially love reading books in bed with Connor and Easton every night after bath time.  And, one of my favorite things to do right now is just sit back and listen to Connor read books to his little brother.  It makes my heart so happy to see their relationship grow everyday.

Our night time routine consists of reading at least two books together – sometimes even three – and I’m 100% sure Connor does this to avoid going to sleep.  And guess what?  It definitely works.  I remembered seeing these handmade baby board books on Pinterest a few years back when I first started pinning things.  I think it was actually one of the first things I ever pinned.  Connor was older then so I never made one but now was the perfect time to make one for Easton.

Want to make your own DIY Baby Board Book?  You only need a few things and they’re pretty easy to assemble which you know makes me happy!

Materials needed:

  • chipboard book
  • scrapbook paper
  • spray adhesive
  • favorite photos
  • scissors
  • printer
  • double-sided tape

Step 1:  Spray one side of each chipboard with spray adhesive.  Spread scrapbook paper over chipboard and trim access paper.  Tip:  Use a nail file and lightly sand edges to get a clean edge and remove paper easily.  Repeat to add paper to other side of chipboards

Step 2:  Spray the backs of your pictures with spray adhesive and add to each page.  Then create your title page and labels for each picture.  I wanted mine to be a fun book that Connor could read to Easton so it says, “Guess who loves you?”  Then each page says – Mommy loves you, Daddy loves you, Connor loves you, Grammy loves you, etc.  I just used Microsoft Word to create this.  Then I printed it out and taped it to each page.

And this is how it turned out:

Isn’t it cute?  This easy craft project includes two my favorite things – pictures or my favorite people and spray adhesive!  Man, that spray adhesive is amazing and I got to print out a few of my favorite Instagram pics so that always makes me happy.

Connor is super excited to read our DIY Baby Board Book to Easton so that’s definitely an awesome thing!

And since we’re talking about our nightly bedtime routine, have you all tried Huggies OverNites Diapers?  If you haven’t, you’re definitely missing out!  Easton was waking up in the morning with wet jammies so I was determined to fix that problem.  I headed to Target and picked up a box of Huggies OverNites and guess what?  With all night leakage protection, we have no more wet sleepers in the morning.  The SnugFit Waistband keeps the diaper in place for maxium protection no matter how often Easton moves around while sleeping which means no more wet sheets either.   Huggies OverNites keep Easton’s skin comfortable and dry for a deep sleep which means I have one happy baby in the morning.

Oh, and don’t forget to pick up a few packs of Huggies Natural Care Wipes – you know you can never have too many packs of wipes.  And since they always leave your baby’s skin soft and clean, why wouldn’t you want to use them?!

Get ready for some cuteness overload because this baby loves to cruise around and I love to take pictures of that sweet face (and those chubby legs).

  1. This board book is such an awesome idea! I love how colorful it is and that your old child can read it to the baby. Thanks for sharing these bedtime ideas. #client

  2. Love your book. Wondering how you preserve the front of the scrapbooking paper so it doesn’t soil or get torn?
    Thanks!
