I’ve got another awesome DIY project today that only requires wooden crates and spray paint.  Gotta love an easy DIY project and this one is fun because it’s for the kids!

DIY Lemonade Stand

Now that it’s getting warmer outside, Connor and his friends  love to set up a lemonade stand at the end of our driveway.  Last weekend they set one up using an old table that we had in the garage.  After my closet makeover, I thought it would be fun to make a super easy DIY lemonade stand using four wooden crates.  It really doesn’t get any easier than this!

Supplies needed:

  • 4 wooden crates
  • yellow spray paint
  • chalkboard banner
  • chalk
  • zip ties (optional)

Directions:

Step 1:  Spray paint the wooden crates.

Step 2:  Stack the crates and attach using zip ties if you want to keep it together.

Step 3:  Hang banner and add cups, straws and lemonade.

Now you’re ready to start selling some delicious lemonade.

Connor Lemonade Stand

This is definitely the best way to set up a lemonade stand.  The stand can be taken apart easily.  The crates can be used to store things in the garage and it’s so easy to set up.  The zip ties are optional and I did not use them yet because I like that Connor can quickly unstack them to store them away.  Then when he’s ready to set up the lemonade stand, all he has to do is take them out and stack them back up.  I also like that the stand has built in shelves to hold their money jar or any extra supplies they want to store behind the stand.

Cheers to a successful lemonade stand

Cheers to a successful day of making, selling, and drinking lemonade!

And then when Connor comes inside after running around all day and making lemonade – he’s a sticky, dirty mess.  When it comes time to wash our clothes, I have to use a detergent that won’t irritate our skin.  Connor and I both have very sensitive skin so I was really excited to try the new all® fresh clean Essentialsâ„¢ laundry detergent from Amazon.com.  And guess what?!  It’s sulfate free which means it cleans without the harshness and you don’t have to worry about your clothes fading.  Follow the directions for use on the packaging exactly and you’ll get clean clothes with only the essential ingredients needed for a deep down cleaning.

So, let kids be kids!  Let them get dirty and let them have fun because the most memorable days end with the dirtiest clothes!  No need to stress because all® Essentials™ has you covered.

  1. This is brilliant Kara, such a simple solution ! The color you`ve picked really makes the crates stand out ! I think I`ll try this for a popcorn stand too, it should work right?
