Hurricane Punch Cocktail Ingredients

This Hurricane Punch recipe requires simple ingredients that are easy to find at any grocery store.  To make this easy tropical cocktail you’ll need:

  • Fruit punch – I used Hawaiian Punch but any fruit punch will work in this recipe.
  • Frozen Limeade Concentrate and Thawed Frozen Orange Juice – Thaw before making this punch.
  • Light rum – You can’t make a hurricane cocktail without rum.  I like to use light rum but you can use dark rum if that’s what you already have.

  1. This sounds like a refreshing punch to serve in the Summer, even if alcohol is left out for those who do not drink alcohol! Question – what size cans of frozen concentrate orange juice and limeade did you use?

  2. I am trying this for my daughter’s wedding please answer what sizes each of o.j. and limeade to use. Thanks

  3. Can this recipe be put into mason jars and kept in a cool place for a couple weeks before serving?

  4. Is water added with the concentrate? I would like to make this without the alcohol with an option to add rum on the side.

  5. No water is added. I would substitute the rum with lemon lime soda or club soda and then add rum to individual glasses.

  6. Seems amazing and totally making. Can I use lime juice if I can’t find the frozen limeade?

  7. This punch was easy to make and pretty awesome. Everybody loved it and it was the only beverage that was empty at the end of the night. I couldn’t find the limeade concentrate so I substituted with 1 cup of lime juice and 1 1/3 cup sugar. Cheers!

  8. I Googled “red punch” and made this recipe last night, following the 2x ingredients exactly. It was the furthest thing from red, the picture, or taste even close to a Hurricane. It was orange, and thick – one guest commented it looked like “soup”. It was sugary sweet. There was a ton left at the end of the party. The host suggested we put it Solo cups and put it in the freezer overnight. I will write a follow-up if “orange slushies” is a better name and option for this recipe. Stay tuned!
