It’s time for another round of Craft Lightning!  Which means I’ve got a craft project that can be done in 15 minutes or less.

DIY Journal

The theme for this round is Dr. Seuss and since Connor loves journals, I made him a few journals using Dr. Seuss fabric.

Materials:

  • fabric
  • cardstock (1 piece for each journal)
  • blank paper
  • twine
  • fusible interfacing
  • iron
  • scissor

Step 1:  Iron a piece of interfacing to your piece of cardstock.  Trim around edges of cardstock and discard extra interfacing.

Step 2:  Iron fabric to cardstock.  Trim and remove extra fabric.  Fold cardstock in half.

Step 3:  Fold blank paper in half and insert inside cardstock.

Step 4:  tie twin around fold of journal and tie with a knot.

That’s it!  Now you have a cute DIY journal.
