Chocolate Caramel Crunch Bars – A delicious no bake dessert perfect for the holidays and all year long.

Chocolate Caramel Crunch Bars

There are two things that we always have in our pantry – Skippy Peanut Butter and Honey Maid Graham Crackers.

And today I’m sharing my favorite holiday recipe that includes both!

These Chocolate Caramel Crunch Bars are delicious and easy to make.  The best part is – Connor can help me make them.  I love that he likes to help me in the kitchen and this recipe is so much easier when you have a little helper.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of club crackers
  • 1 box of Honey Maid Graham Crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup Skippy Peanut Butter

Directions:

Step 1:  Line an ungreased 9 x 13 pan with foil.  Spray foil with cooking spray to prevent bars from sticking.

Step 2:  Line the bottom of the pan with club crackers.  Crush graham crackers using a food processor.

Step 3:  In large sauce pan, melt butter and add graham crackers, brown sugar, sugar, and milk.  Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.  Stir mixture while it is boiling.

Step 4:  Pour 1/2 of the mixture over crackers.  Place another layer of crackers and spread remaining butter mixture over crackers.  Top with a third layer of crackers.

Step 5:  In small sauce pan, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter over medium-low heat.  Spread evenly over crackers.

Step 6:  Cover and chill for at least one hour before cutting.

And, there is only one thing left to do with the left over peanut butter and graham crackers – make Gingerbread Houses!

We are getting ready to have our annual gingerbread house party at my parents house and I can’t wait!!  We started this two years ago with Connor and my nephew and this year is going to be even better now that my two nieces are old enough to participate.

All you need are a few boxes of Honey Maid Graham Crackers, candy for decorating your houses, Skippy peanut butter, and a can of inexpensive white icing.  I picked up all my supplies at Walmart.

Place candy, peanut butter, and icing in small bowls in center of table.  Wrap aluminum foil around a piece of cardboard.  I used old cereal boxes.

Give everyone a package of graham crackers and let the fun begin!

This is one of my favorite Christmas activities.  I love building Gingerbread Houses with all my favorite people.  Connor loves seeing all his cousins and now they have an excuse to make a mess while eating candy.  What’s not to love about that?!

What are some of your favorite things to do around the holidays?

  1. Hi Kara! These cookies look so good – definitely going to pin and print out!
I have just one question – do you use the entire box of graham crackers? I’m supposing so, but not real clear on it.
    Thanks so much!
