School started yesterday for Connor and I needed something to keep all our school supplies organized during homework time.  Last year I felt like I was always scrambling around looking for glue or highlighters or even pencils when it came time to complete homework.

So this year I’ve solved that problem with a Homework Caddy.

I found the wooden box at Michael’s on clearance.  Since it already had the chalkboard, all I had to do was tape it off and  spray paint it red.  After the paint dried, I lightly sanded it to give it a distressed look.

I added 3 mason jars and then filled it with school supplies and books for Connor’s monthly reading log.  When it’s time to do homework, all I have to do is pull out the homework caddy and we are good to go.  Such a time saver!

Now we have all the school supplies in one place and we are always ready for homework time.
