Today I’m sharing an easy pair of handmade ombre earrings.
I shared these over at Love Grows Wild a couple weeks ago and wanted to share them with you because I love how they turned out.

They really are easy to make.  I promise!
purple ombre beads

Purple is my favorite color so when I found these ombre beads at AC Moore I couldn’t wait to get home and make something out of them.

All you need to make your own ombre earrings are:
22 teardrop beads in 3 – 4 different colors
chain
jump rings
earring hooks
round nose pliers
headpins or wire

Step 1:  Add jump rings to each bead.  Use headpins to create loops on larger beads.

Step 2:  Separate your chain so you have two pieces with 5 links.

Step 3:  Add earring hooks to one end of the chain

Step 4:  Add two light beads to the first link of the chain right under the earring hook.  Add two more light beads to the second link.

Step 5:  Continue adding two beads to each link until you have your desired length.  Then add the darkest bead to the last link (you will have 3 beads on the last link).

Step 6:  Put on your new earrings and admire yourself in the mirror (because that is what you will want to do).

Simple enough, right?!  Trust me – if I can do it, you can definitely do it!!
And, since I love to give things away as much as I love making jewelry, I’m giving away a pair of these earrings.
