What's My Password Again? (Norton Identity Safe Review with a Giveaway)

Is it just me or is it getting harder and harder to keep track of all those usernames and passwords
Think about all the online accounts and passwords you have. How do you remember it all? At first I was trying to keep things simple by using the same password for everything but then I read that you should definitely not do that. So I created new passwords that met all the new requirements: letters, numbers, special characters, etc. and I then when it came time to log on I couldn't remember which password I had created for all the different accounts I had.

I quickly started to realize that trying to remember everything wasn't the most efficient way to manage my online accounts.

So as soon as I was asked to review and write about Norton Identity Safe, I quickly installed it and started logging onto all the different accounts we have.  Now all the information is easily stored in one place. All I have to do is log in to my vault and all my accounts are there. I don't even have to log on the that website anymore. I just need to remember one username and password and that is for Identify Safe.

First of all, I had no idea that we had so many different online accounts and I had no idea that there was a program that could make my life on the Internet so much easier.

And let me tell you - this could not have come at a better time! I’ve mentioned before that the hubby is about to deploy in a few months and we desperately needed to sit down together and organize all of our usernames and passwords. The last time he was gone I would have to email him for a password and wait a few days for him to email me back, which is extremely frustrating.

The program was easy to download and even easier to set up. It is such a relief to know that all I have to do is log onto one website and easily access all my other accounts!

But wait – there’s more! You can also use Identity Safe to store personal information and credit card information which makes filling out online forms and making online purchases super easy. I’m seriously wondering how I’ve survived this long without Norton Identity Safe!  Thank goodness this program was so easy to use because it is something we definitely needed!  I even installed the app on my iPhone so I can quickly access everything even when I’m away from my computer.
So head on over and check out all the fabulous features Norton Identity Safe has to offer and download it for FREE! Yep, I said free!! How great is that? We all love free stuff especially when it saves us time and effort.

And please tell me I’m not the only one who forgets passwords all the time. Have you ever forgotten or lost your password? Share a story about a time you forgot, or lost your password, in the comments below.  Each response will garner automatic entry into a sweepstakes to win one of five Android Tablets (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 - 10.1-Inch, Wi-Fi) with Norton Mobile Security and Identity Safe installed on the device!

  2. I always forget my passwords! And I'm always afraid I'll get locked out, so then I have to reset it, and the cycle continues...

  3. I've got so many accounts on so many different sites, been locked out so many times. So now I've got it down to 3 variations. Kinda sorta. ; )

  7. Everytime I try to log in to pay my phone/internet bill, I forget my password. I once spent three hours resetting my password and paying my bill only to forget where I wrote the information down the next month when it came time to do it again! :(

  8. I always forget my passwords for everything. I finally figured out to store all of my passwords for websites/forums/etc. on Evernote. I can access the file from any computer, so no more forgetting! I really just need to have one password for everything.

  9. I used to write down "code words" for passwords in a little address book. I used a tricky password that I didn't use for much else for being able to get on to my computer (what?!), and it took me 2 days to decode my password. This Norton Identity Safe sounds like an excellent invention - just hope you remember your user name and password to log onto that!

  25. I use 2 variations of the same password for everything, my husband however, uses a different one every time. This really annoys me when it's accounts we share access to like eBay or our bank -UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I use variations of the same password for everything, but do forget which one is for which...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I tend to use variations of the same password, then decide to change then forget, then reset it and normally forget the password whatever you have to get into. So i get into a catch 22. Then I give up or get indredibly angry! x

  32. I'm just happy that I'm not alone....in not remembering and have to reset my passwords every month. I think I have at least 50 different accounts that require passwords and some that I don't log-in often enough, I just have to re-set the passwords every single time. Quite frustrating when you are in a rush trying to get things done. This sounds like the perfect product for me.

  40. It's so odd, I remember the password assigned to me that makes no sense in any way, random letters and numbers, better than I remember those I choose. I read an internet safety article that said not to worry about remembering them, keep changing them daily. Can you imagine the time that would consume? I have most of mine recorded, but those I forget, I change.

  67. This isn't my story, but I was just talking to my mom about it last night. My grandfather passed away a month ago, and since then my grandmother has locked herself out of her online bank account no less than 10 times (he used to pay the bills and now she has to do it). Each time she locks herself out, she has to call the bank helpline to unlock her, and it takes them an hour to walk her through resetting it. It's crazy.

  76. I always used Roboform (a password/form filler) so when I lost my computer and got a new one a few years back. When I went to enter all my usual sites, I found that there were a couple that I had not saved the passwords for and on top of that, they were older sites I had visited for years and used a totally different email address for as well, I was never able to get back into one of those sites. Even with reregistering I could not get in because all the rest of my info was the same so it insisted I was already registered.

  125. I forget my passwords all the time, especially at work. I get why we have to change our password every 2 months, but GEESH! I can't keep up with them. I am constantly having to call tech support to reset my password and I know when I call they are thinking, "Oh, it you AGAIN!" I need to start sending them donuts because they constantly have to help me. LOL!
