This is my last minute hostess gift for all the people we will be visiting this week while we are home in Maryland. I saw this in a magazine recently so I can’t take any credit for coming up with this idea.

I’ve been saving my Folgers coffee cans, waiting for the perfect craft project.  So when I saw this idea in the magazine, I was so happy!!  The directions in the magazine said to paint coffee cans red but I used Folgers coffee cans that are already red.

I headed to my local thrift store to look for cheap black belts.  I found belts there for 25 cents.  I was able to get 5 for less than $2.  How fabulous is that?

The plants are from Home Depot.  Just glue the belt on with your handy dandy glue gun. I cut my belt in the back so it would fit the coffee can. Then replant your plant in the coffee can adding a little potting soil.

A fun hostess gift, teacher gift or to just keep for yourself!  The best part is they are quick and easy to put together.
