Christmas Countdown Fortune Cookies

I love all the Advent Calendars and Christmas Countdowns I've been seeing around blogland so I decided I needed to make one for Connor.

And I'm so glad I did because Connor is having so much fun with it!! Everyday he is so excited to see what our activity is.
I decided to make fortune cookies with a Christmas related activity in each one. I was able to find so many free printable activities online that I've linked to the list below.

Here are the activities I came up with:
Day 1: Decorate Christmas tree
Day 2: Drive around and look at Christmas lights
Day 3: Christmas movie night with popcorn and hot chocolate
Day 4: Write letter to Santa
Day 6: Build a fort and read Christmas books
Day 7: Visit Train Garden
Day 9: Make and decorate picture frame ornaments using cardboard, crayons and stickers.
10. Christmastown in Busch Gardens
13. Lights on the Boardwalk
16. Sit on Santa’s lap
17. Make gingerbread houses
18. Decorate Christmas gift bags with stickers and cookie cutter stamps
19. Make holiday rice krispie treats
Day 21: Read “Twas the Night Before Christmas”
Day 23: Make cookies for Santa
Day 25: Enjoy time with family!!

These fortune cookies were so easy to make and they can be made for many different occasions.
To make your own fortune cookies:  1.  Cut your paper into 3 inch circles  2.  Fold the circle in half  3.  Open and rotate so folded line is vertical  4.  Roll paper and fold along folded line  5.  Adhere with glue

The best thing about this jar of fortune cookies is that it doesn't take up a lot of space. I can keep the jar of fortune cookies on the counter and Connor can reach in and grab his Christmas fortune for the day!
